PRODUCTS & MATERIALS

All Darlin products are crafted from sustainably sourced acacia wood.

Acacia is a dense hardwood known for its strength, durability and natural antibacterial properties, making it ideal for food display and hospitality use. Each piece features unique grain patterns and warm natural tones, giving every board its own character.

Yes. Since 2008, Darlin products have been selected by hospitality and retail businesses across New Zealand for their durability and consistent performance.

Our boards are designed to withstand repeated use in commercial environments while maintaining their natural character and finish.

The difference is how the boards are made.

Premium range: made from a single, solid piece of acacia (no joins). This makes it more durable and longer-lasting, with less risk of water getting in, splitting, or cracking over time. It is the best fit for upmarket hospitality and premium retail.

Bistro range: made from joined, high-quality acacia. It is a more affordable option that still looks great and performs well, making it ideal for everyday, higher-volume, or simpler environments.

Darlin products are selected for commercial use, consistent quality and long-term performance. Many low-cost boards are made from bamboo or soft woods that absorb water more easily and degrade faster. Darlin’s long-term supply partnerships with Gilmours, Moore Wilsons and Southern Hospitality reflect the proven performance of our range in real commercial environments.
