Darlin NZ – Shipping, Delivery & Returns Policy

This policy applies to all goods supplied by Darlin NZ to approved trade and wholesale customers.


1. Shipping & Delivery

All orders are shipped within New Zealand unless otherwise agreed.

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on:

  • Stock availability
  • Freight provider schedules
  • Regional or rural delivery locations
  • Public holidays or peak periods

Darlin NZ is not responsible for delays caused by third-party freight providers.

Freight charges, where applicable, will be advised prior to dispatch.

Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery.


2. Inspection of Goods

Customers must inspect goods upon delivery.

Any claims for:

  • Damage in transit
  • Shortages
  • Incorrect items

must be reported within 3 working days via the Contact page.

Claims must include:

  • Order reference
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photographs of goods and packaging

Failure to notify within this timeframe may result in the claim being declined.


3. Returns & Refunds

All sales are made to trade customers for business purposes.

Where permitted by law, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 is contracted out of.

We do not accept returns for:

  • Change of mind
  • Over-ordering
  • Incorrect product selection
  • Slow-moving stock

Returns may be approved only if goods are:

  • Faulty
  • Incorrectly supplied
  • Damaged in transit

If a return is approved:

  • Goods must be unused and in original condition
  • Return freight is the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed
  • Credit will be issued once goods are inspected

Refunds are not provided unless required by law.


4. Natural Timber Variation

Our products are made from natural acacia wood.

Variations in:

  • Grain pattern
  • Colour tone
  • Natural markings

are inherent characteristics of timber and are not considered defects.


5. Limitation of Liability

Darlin NZ’s liability is limited to:

  • Replacement of goods
  • Repair of goods
  • Credit for the value of goods supplied

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or business interruption.
